Cozido à Portuguesa is a traditional boiled Portuguese stew. Many variations exist throughout Portugal, as the dish is considered part of the Portuguese heritag. It is also one of Portugal's national dishes. This dish is prepared with a multitude of vegetables (potatoes, carrots, parsnips, cabbages, rice), meat ( pork ribs, bacon, pork ear and trotters, various parts of beef) and smoked sausages (chouriço, farinheira, morcela), among others. Join us for a casual dinner featuring Old-World Portuguese comfort food in a family friendly setting. Bar opens @ 5pm | CASH BAR

About PCCNR

PCCNR was founded in 1939 as the Portuguese American Club of New Rochelle. The club, originally located in downtown New Rochelle, was founded by local Portuguese immigrants as an organization dedicated to the promotion and celebration of Portuguese culture and heritage. We moved to our present facility in 1993 and proudly carry the banner of our founders, which is not only the celebration and promotion of Portuguese culture but also outreach and the education of our local Portuguese American community through our various fundraisers, events and Portuguese language school.

We're located in New Rochelle's West End, a traditionally immigrant neighborhood. Our building was constructed in 1932 by local Italian immigrants, who were carpenters and masons, who wanted a home of their own for their social club, then known as "The North Italy Workingman's Mutual Aid Society". Every detail was carefully thought out and handcrafted by locals, right down to the local iron worker who fashioned from scratch the chandeliers in our ball room. It is with the same self-determination and entrepreneurial spirit the Portuguese American community maintains our home at 109 4th Street in New Rochelle for the next generation to enjoy and be a part of all the amazing things we have happening.

We welcome all! Our community outreach and field of membership extends beyond the Portuguese American community but also to anyone interested in learning more or experience more Portuguese culture and heritage.
